Comedies. Some people laugh, some people don't. If you get the right jokes, you can keep your target audience entertained throughout the whole movie. Unfortunately, despite its fairly original storyline, I didn't find this as hilarious as other people have. From what people have been saying, this should have made me crack up with laughter. Unfortunately, I never laughed out loud once. I smiled a few times, but that was it.

Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't get into it. Despite this though, I still found this to be fairly entertaining. How many movies do you see where evil birds wreak havoc? Not to mention that there's a businessman, the scientist and his buddy, and the police force all after the yellow thing. I found myself interested in seeing what happens next rather than listening out for the jokes. I just did not laugh like you should when watching comedies, sorry.

Onto the less important things, yes, the movie uses default scenery. Your point being? It's a comedy. The animations? They're fine, but again, it's a comedy. You're meant to watch it for the laughs, not to stare at beautiful animations. One of the strongest points in The Bird Sanctuary though, which is fairly important in most movies really, is the quality of the voices. Tuna, Heavy J, Qaz and Bjorn all do great. You could hear each voice clearly and it really is a shame that I did not find the jokes funny with such great voice-acting.

But, as I come to finally rate this movie, I feel let down. This was marked as a comedy, but I didn't get one which made me burst with laughter. Instead, all I got out of it was a mildly entertaining movie with an original plot. I suppose that's comedy for you. Some people will find it hilarious, some won't. And I was one of them who didn't find much of it funny.

Score: 70/100
